On September 4 (Friday), GSD and Advantech jointly held the Forum on “Smart Factory New Blue Ocean, Intelligent Plant (Water) Innovation and Application Forum”, with the theme of "building smart plant (water) services and accelerating digital transformation", to draw a blueprint for the development of intelligent plant (water) services. The forum invited industry VIPs to share practical experience and explore the problems faced by customers, so as to help customers build smart application solutions more quickly and conveniently.
    The forum was introduced by Dr. Walter Cho, chief technology officer of GSD Technologies, on the "digital practice sharing of sewage (waste) treatment". Deputy manager Jason Chiu of the Intelligence Department explained "using AIoT to implement predictive maintenance evaluation scheme for key equipment of sewage treatment plant". At present, there is a general demand for digitalization in the industry, but there are few specific solutions in the market that can be introduced or referenced by the owners. Therefore, GSD has found a research opportunity and expects to provide solutions to help customers solve problems.
    In the course of the briefing, Dr. Walter Cho explained the four characteristics of "digital sewage treatment in GSD", which are Dynamic Control, Real-time Monitoring, Intelligent Control and Intelligent Fine-Tuning. Taking the on-site real-time data import of Pingtung Agricultural Biotechnology Park as an example, it shows that the operation deviation in the operation of the system can be reduced through digital import, and the overall sewage treatment process can be optimized to achieve the benefit of energy saving and cost saving.
    Deputy manager Jason Chiu explained to the guests that the introduction of "GSD Equipment Health Management" can reduce maintenance expenses by 25-30%, reduce downtime, and achieve operation optimization and equipment life extension. During the operation of the equipment, the operator can be informed of the impending failure of the equipment in advance, so as to arrange preventive maintenance.
